Every signed edition we sell is hand-signed by the author or artist at a signing we organize ahead of release.
The pen and ink color are chosen by our team before the signing ever happens — they are part of how each edition is planned, not a decision left to chance at the table. So the ink color on a signed edition (black, blue, silver, purple, and so on) is deliberate.

One note: autographs are applied by hand, so small variations in how an individual signature looks are normal — that's part of what makes a hand-signed piece unique.
